Polar Bears Internet Workshop
Grizzly Bears Internet Workshop
Reflection:
This project went okay in the classroom. I ran the workshop via the smartboard and the students and myself walked through the sites together. I also gave each student a guide: The Great White Shark Internet Questions Student Page to help them through the workshop and to hold them accountable for following along.
Several of the students were interested in Great White Sharks, but I feel as thought I overwhelmed my students with too much information. I should have keep it simple and sweet. I read through the student question guide with the class before starting the workshop and we would stop as a class after exploring a link to see what questions we could answer.
I think that the students had fun doing this but they needed a lot of support from the teacher. I think if and when I do this again I would rather have the class broken down into small groups.
